美國大聯盟開始2015年的新人選秀，中職也學了1年的季中選秀，即將在6月29日進行，不過，中職當初的季中選秀是為高中生而來，有球隊總教練提出異議，認為中職的季中選秀是「麻煩製造機」，應該回歸季後選秀。

中職為高中畢業球員在2012年開始舉辦高中生季中選秀，隔年將新人選秀也搬到季中，走了1年問題出現了，有總教練表示：「中職為何要因為高中生而改變選秀時間，高中球員的即戰力有幾個？」

中信兄弟高中選秀球員陳子豪昨在新竹對戰義大，前4局打了2安打，達成生涯百安，陳子豪曾是中職最年輕出賽球員（18歲76天），他率先達成高中選秀球員百安，但他用了2個半球季；遠不如當年19歲張泰山首季已有112安。

該名總教練認為，中職改成季中選秀，選中的球員如何談約？因為下半球季隨即在7月3日開打，選秀球員如果不能短時間談定，合約一拖再拖，下半季也過了大半，等於沒有貢獻戰力。

加上「有人進、就有人出」的考量，若能排在季後選秀，球團能夠考量釋出球員的戰力缺額，再透過選秀補進球團想要的戰將，這樣比較符合效益。
